What is Purim?

Why is the teacher dressed like a witch? And the boy in the back, he’s dressed up like a cowboy. Just look in the mirror. You’re dressed like a clown. Something strange is going on here. Purim must be right around the corner. Purim is the happiest day in the Jewish year - the sages used to say that as soon as the month of Adar starts, everyone becomes happier. But Purim is also a rather odd day because everything gets topsy turvy. The strong become weak, winners become losers. And everyone becomes someone else entirely as soon as they put on their costumes.
