Latkes

Ingredients
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon instant powdered onion soup 
˝  teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2 tablespoons water 
2 tablespoons oil
1 big onion 
5 potatoes
a pinch of pepper
a pinch of nutmeg

Instructions:
Mix together the flour, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and powdered onion soup.  Add the eggs, water, and oil and stir thoroughly. Peel the potatoes and grate them, and then squeeze out the excess water.  Chop the onions.  Add the grated potatoes and the chopped onions to the mixture. Take a big frying pan and warm it up using the cooking oil.  Measure a quarter of the mixture for each “latke” and fry them on both sides till they are golden brown. May be served with sour cream.
